INTRODUCTION
Your information.
Your trust.
The Centre for Inclusive Markets and Partnerships (CIMP) respects your privacy. This notice explains what information may be handled when you visit this website, why it is used, and how to contact CIMP with a privacy question.
This notice describes the CIMP website in its current preview form. Some links lead to external services, and some features shown on the site are demonstrations that do not yet collect or submit information.
CIMP aims to handle personal information in line with applicable South African privacy requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The final notice should be checked against CIMP’s operating services and approved privacy processes before the site launches.
01 / INFORMATION WE HANDLE
What information may be involved?
When you view a website, technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested and access times may be processed by the web host and services needed to deliver the page.
If you choose to contact CIMP using an email link, your email application opens so that you can send a message. If you send it, CIMP may receive the details you include, such as your name, email address, organisation and the contents of your enquiry.
- Submitting the newsletter form sends the email address and consent to newsletter@cimp.co.za for the CIMP newsletter team. The website does not automatically add the address to a mailing list.
- The Log in to Capital Expansion Program (CEP360 Partner/Client site) link opens this CIMP sign-in preview. The preview is not connected to an authentication service; information entered into its sign-in fields is not sent or stored.
02 / USE AND SHARING
How information is used
Technical information may be used by the hosting provider to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website. Information you send by email may be used to read and respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, continue the conversation you initiated.
The website forwards newsletter subscription requests to newsletter@cimp.co.za for processing; it does not automatically add addresses to a mailing list or send newsletters itself. Information is not sold through this website. Service providers may process technical data when delivering website infrastructure or external content. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
External websites, including Capital Group and LinkedIn, operate under their own privacy practices. Please review their notices before sharing information with them.
04 / RETENTION AND SECURITY
Keeping information safe
This website does not save newsletter requests in a website database. A successful request is emailed to newsletter@cimp.co.za and may be retained in CIMP’s email systems under its retention practices. The hosting provider may retain technical logs under its own configuration and retention practices. If you email CIMP, the message may be held in the email systems used to receive and manage correspondence.
CIMP should apply appropriate safeguards and retention rules to any personal information handled through live services. No website transmission or storage method can be described as completely secure.
05 / YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Questions or requests?
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask about personal information held about you, request correction or deletion, or object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. Contact CIMP using the details below and describe your request. CIMP may need to verify your identity before responding.
You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator for information about privacy rights or complaints: Information Regulator ↗.
